A: It’s easy! Follow these three steps:

  1. Join the Offer: Select a deal from the Bulk Purchasing section and place your order. The amount will be blocked but not charged until the deal is successful.
  2. Spread the Word: Share the deal with others to help reach the minimum number of participants.
  3. Receive Your Order: Once the deal is successful, your product will be delivered to your chosen address.

 

Q: What happens if the minimum number of participants is not reached?
A: If the minimum number of participants is not reached within the deal’s time limit, the deal will not proceed, and the blocked amount will be released back to you. No charges will be made.

Q: Can I return a product purchased through group buying?
A: Group purchase products have specific return conditions to ensure fairness for vendors and participants:

  • Standard Products: Returns are allowed for defective or damaged items only.
  • Bespoke Products: Customised items (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, doors) are non-returnable as they are tailored to your specifications.
  • Bulk Purchase Discounts: Products purchased in bulk at significant discounts may incur a restocking fee if returned.

 

Q: Why are return conditions stricter for group purchases?
A: Group purchasing relies on collective participation to achieve discounts. Allowing unrestricted returns could undermine the system, create unnecessary costs for vendors, and negatively impact other participants.

 

Q: What if I receive a defective product?
A: If your product is defective or damaged upon delivery, you can request a replacement or refund. Simply contact customer support within the specified timeframe, and we will assist you promptly.

A: For bespoke items like kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, or interior doors, the process includes:

  1. Set an Appointment: Visit the vendor’s showroom to finalise details such as colours, materials, and styles.
  2. Pay a Deposit: Make a small deposit to participate in the group purchase.
  3. Complete Payment: Settle the remaining balance directly with the vendor after your selections are made.

 

Q: Why do bespoke products require a different process?
A: Bespoke products are tailored to your specific needs and preferences. This level of customisation requires personal involvement and additional steps to ensure you receive exactly what you want.

Q: What prevents users from exploiting the system?
A: To protect the fairness of group purchasing:

  • Users are limited to one account per person, verified via unique identifiers (e.g., email, phone number, etc).
  • Orders are monitored for unusual activity, such as multiple purchases from the same address, IP address, etc.
  • A restocking fee may apply to discourage abuse of returns.

 

Q: Can I use friends or family accounts to meet the minimum quota?
A: While you can encourage others to join, all participants must abide by the return policies. Abusing the system by returning multiple items through different accounts may result in penalties or account suspension.

Q: Is it legal to remove the cooling-off period for group purchases?
A: Under EU Consumer Rights Directive, certain exceptions apply:

  • Bespoke or customised products are not eligible for returns.
  • Sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons are exempt.
